Original Complaint against Aarons Rent & leasing published at Scamity.com on 06-May-14 says, verbatim –

I rented a sofa set from this company for a year. when my husband lost his job I gave back a TV I had for 6 months. I completed my lease and gave it back. 6 months later I could no longer afford the sofa set. I called and spoke to Matt and told them I could not make the payment and to come pick it up. They scheduled the pick up for a the next day (Tuesday) between 11-3. No one ever showed up. I get a call on Friday from someone at the store stating they are there to pick up the set. Duh I’m at wotk I am not home. I called back Monday to schedule another day. We scheduled it for the following Monday 11-3 I was home all day. No one showed up. I get a call that tuesday from Ty asking what happened? I say you tell me. no one ever showed up. He states they showed up and noone answered. this is a flat out lie. I say look I’m not playing this game with you I will put the stuff outside and it will be there whenever you decide to come. Ty stated he didn’t have any drivers that day he would call me back on Wednesday to schedule the pick up. I did not get a call from him until Saturday. I missed his call because hello I have a life. When I called Monday and spoke to Matt he was rude and stated they have GPS on their trucks and his drivers have been there and no one has answered. That was a complete lie. Thye may have driven in front of my apartments but they never knocked on my door. He then states well it has now been 30 days and you have not made a payment. I told him and I will not make a payment I do not have to stalk you to pick up your merchandise. He said I can send my drivers between 4-7 tonight. I stated perfect i do not have football tonight. My husband sat in the living room from 4-7 by the door and no one ever came. At 6:53 pm I get a call from a Stephanie and she say hi you broke a payment agreement and I was calling to collect your payment. I told her umm no I didn’t i called Matt and told him I no longer want the set i can’t afford it. I have been trying to get rid of it for 3 weeks. I proceed to tell her in fact one of your drivers should be here within the next 7 minutes to pick it up. Then I hear matt in the background stating our drivers came and someone at your house opened the door and refused to give them the furniture. omg this sent me in an outrage. No one ever came to my house! More so they were never denied access to get the furniture! He proceeds to get on the phone and tell me that he again had GPS on his trucks and they were at my house. I asked for a general manager phone number and he said I will have him call you and he will handle this completely different. i am not scared I know my rights! This is the worst company I do not even understand how they stay in business. I was trying to do the right thing and give it back. it still looks like brand new in excellent condition i even vacummed and cleaned it thinking they were coming to get it. I do not want to be sued or for this to go on my credit. What a horrible experience this has been. I called their corporate office and filed a complaint but have not heard anything back yet. If I had a truck I would take them their merchandise myself I don’t want it. I’m trying to keep it I never said I was going to keep. i have said from day one please come get it. The whole staff in this store is rude and they have no idea how to run a business! I am writing anyone i can to let them know about this store. Do not rent from them! Your beter off getting your furniture from craigslist!
