Original Complaint against Alaska Vein Care published at says, verbatim –

I had my varicose veins done and I regret it. Not only did it cost me $4,000 out of pocket but I felt mutilated afterwards and that I was a cow being processed. The doctor was very cold and hardly welcoming even on the evaluation.I did one leg one day and the other the next. I’m an obese woman, admittedly, but I was really annoyed they did not have suitable compression stockings for a plus sized patient. They crammed me into a pair and they were painful and constantly rolling down causing more pain on my wounds.I understand what compression stockings do and what they are for, but they should also fit the patient correctly otherwise they’re not helpful.I couldn’t go to the bathroom with them on and it was a painful chore to put them back on after the bathroom and showers.I had pain even with a local anesthetic during the surgery but they did nothing for it.On one of the areas they treated I still have a varicose vein and many many spider veins that weren’t there before.I contacted them and they offered to treat the spider veins and I went for two sessions (which it does hurt to get done, but it’s tolerable) and while it looked like they disappeared after the treatment, within days they were back.I will mention it was the receptionist that did the spider veins treatment and when I questioned why the doctor wouldn’t she got an attitude with me and snootily asked if I wanted him.I don’t know if she was an RN or not, I didn’t think to ask.Now that I think about it I probably should have and maybe that’s why the two treatments showed zero results.I was generous with my two stars only because they did a payment plan with me and because they wrote a note for me to have extended time off my labor intensive job as I was still having pain when walking.
