It started on FB where I noticed there business page that a lot of my friends had liked and saw them posting furniture for sale on misc. yard sale sites and thought we’d give them a try. There page seemed legit and had lots of good reviews and was very active. We went down to there store that they had in downtown Glendale and picked out a sofa we liked. We ended up custom ordering a Sectional couch and Ottoman. We were told that upon paying cash (to avoid transaction fees for small businesses) That we would get an extra $200 off our original order. They told us they ordered through a manufacturer out of California and it would take 2 weeks for our Product to arrive after it was paid in full. Our total was $1,848.00 for the sectional, ottoman and custom 3 inch extension for the cushions. We got written receipt. And the deal was we would be responsible for picking up Sofa and ottoman because they didn’t offer delivery. Well 2 weeks went by and no couch, they said there was an issue with the manufacturer and room on the truck so it was stuck in Cali. Okay. We waited another week and still no word, I had to call once again and explain that we had now gotten rid of our old furniture to make room for the new and we currently had an empty living room, they apologized and offered Free Delivery for our inconvenience. We accepted. But then 2 MORE weeks went by and still no delivery, they told us twice dates that it would be delivered so we took off work and arranged to be home and they NO SHOWED. Each time they had a different excuse: The truck broke down, driver is sick blah blah. At this point I am thinking we got completely ripped off and aren’t even going to receive the couch so I’m calling the owner and demanding a full refund. At that point they tell me that they have the Sectional and they would be willing to process my refund, however it does take 10-14 business days to receive.. Ughhhh! Weve already been a month without a couch so I agree to hold off and wait for ours and not go forward with the refund. At this point they were very apologetic and seemed to understand my frustration. They promised they would knock $200 off and send us a refund for delay of purchase. Fine! Then, TADA!! the next day our couch was finally delivered but womp womp womp, NO OTTOMAN! They told us the sectional was too big and they couldn’t fit the ottoman on the truck and it would be in the next shipment on Thursday ( it was Tuesday at the time) So Thursday came and went, the weekend came and went, I finally called her on Monday wondering whats going on and she informed me that the ottoman wasn’t coming. They had differences with the manufacturer and were in the process of switching blah blah and that she was so sorry and would send the refund for that with our other refund check. So totaling $500 with our $200 delay refund and our $300 ottoman that we paid for and dint receive. I had her email me conformation of the refund as we weren’t in store to get a receipt. Well its now been a month and as of last week communication completely stopped. They closed their doors, deleted their Facebook page, phone goes straight to VM and no email or message response. I have original receipts, VM’s, Emails, And Messages to prove the matters. Thanks for listening 🙂
