Original Complaint against America Locksmith Services published at Scamity.com on 21-Apr-14 says, verbatim –
Do NOT USE America Locksmith Services!!! They are a scam and their business is a farce! They will bait and switch their pricing on you. Called them to unlock a door to an upstairs attic that was locked. Quote was for a mandatory $19 trip charge and stated that A General lockout charge starts at $35. | Knowing this was not a complicated lock and I needed no re-keying or lock switch outs or anything too complicated I anticipate paying around $65 to $75 bucks. guy shows up and says it will be $139. WTF??? I said. He had it written down as “”emergency lockout charge””. I told there is absolutely no emergency and he said they only had one code for any type of lockout and it was all the same charge. I told him it was bullshit and I wasn’t paying it. He then lowered to $100. | | I didn’t want to deal with arranging for another locksmith so went ahead and paid him the $100 for the whopping g 10 minutes he was there. Told hI’m he was a bullshit artist and a sleaze bag. (Made me feel better ). Anyway this company is a sham.DO NOT USE them!!!
