Original Complaint against Amir Houses published at on 07-Feb-15 says, verbatim –

Do not conntact this man to buy, rent or lease-option he will ripp-you off. There are 3 main reasons why not to do business with this man. Read all three, beacuse he does NOT conduct business in a professional and honest manner. | First know that if he offers you lease option, he will lie to you and say your deposit and all of your lease/rent payment will go towards payment of the house, it will not. He will go back on his word. | He will also tell you that you can be in lease-option for 3-4 years to buy the house. He will infact only give you one year with the option to buy another year for double the amount you paid in the begining of the lease. When signing the lease, he will tell you that all of the contract it is nogotionable, he just has to word it that way for leagal purposes. Nothing is nogetionable, what you sign is what is what you will get and he will go back on his word. | Second, he sales/rent unlivable houses, and lies bout it. He will lie and tell you he took care of the rat problem, when he didn’t. He will tell you he has put in a new roof, and when you move in it leaks. He will tell you that the air conditioning and heater works great and was replace recently and when you move in it doesn’t work. When you call him about, he will tell you it not his problem and you must get it fix yourself. | Third this man breaks the law, he will come to your house unanouced with out reasonable cause and before the requried 16 days for non-payment. He will use his key to come into you house and demand that you give him your stuff for not paying the rent. He will then have his friends come in and steal your stuff and tell you can have it back after you have paid your rent. He will not send you a written letter of non compliance nor try to evict you the proper way. I assume it is beacuase a tenant has the right to withold rent if the landlord fails to complies with his responsibities. | This is what I had to put up with personally, I started off with lease-option and had to switch to renting. In the end I refused to continue to pay rent untill that house was up to code. Know your rights, I had to learn the hard way. | Please don’t make the same mistakes I did, do not do business with this man. | *note that I will not make a nother post about this “business” to take back what I’ve said, or to change what I said. If I need to do that (and I won’t) I will edit this post.
