Original Complaint against Ashley Furniture, San Marcos, CA published at on 08-May-14 says, verbatim –

On April 17 I went into the Ashley store and Sam Marcos California with the intention of buying a bedroom set for my daughter and her fiancé for a wedding present I was assisted by a saleswoman Sandra and she sold us this is set for $998we also at that time purchased the mattress to go with it. we were under the assumption and it was never told us any differently that you got two dressers a night table and the bed. We proceeded to the register and took care of the financing and set up a delivery date and pay the delivery charge .today the furniture arrived and we were shorted the chest of drawers. I called the store and was told that they never include the chest of drawers when you purchase a bedroom set from them they said that it’s always sold separately so I asked if they could discounted which they did and they took $50 off the price which I was unhappy that I would have to pay extra for that I said okay we would do it and also I told them that I did not want to have to pay another delivery charge because I already had paid the delivery charge and if I had known that the dresser did not come with the bedroom set that I would have ordered it at that time when I ordered the rest of the bedroom set. I then told them that my daughter would not be able to come in until tomorrow to sign the paper for the rest of the financing and the girl said okay that she would noted on my account and it would be taken care of. I then proceeded to call my daughter and told her that it has all been taking care of that all she needed to do was going to sign the paperwork .she told me that she would not be able to go in until Saturday so I told her to call them to set it up . she made the call and she got a saleswoman on the phone who was extremely rude and nasty to her and told her that there was nothing written down about it and that she would definitely have to pay the delivery charge so my daughter called me and I called the store and got the same saleswoman and asked to speak to someone customer service she told me that she could not transfer me that there was no way she could transfer me. I told her that I had spoken to customer service and they had set it up and taking a delivery charge off. She then told me that because it was another separate order that I could not have it waved. Would not let me talk and I. Got angry and told her that I would call back tomorrow and speak to someone else.
