Original Complaint against Continental Who’s Who published at says, verbatim –

There are many calls that we get for exclusive offers and discounts. However, this call was a little bit more interesting and different from others. The call was from a woman who was very excited while telling me that I was the chosen one from hundreds of individuals who applied to them. I straight away declined and hung up.She started calling me every other day and at odd hours. So, I decided to check how much she was trained to fool alert individuals with brains. When she called the last time, I accepted the call and showed a bit of interest and she tried to cash that eagerness. She asked me questions like my profession and experience. For every answer, she would say great, amazing, even if that answer was not a match for those credits. After few answers, I started to access her. I said that I was a part of important mission of NASA and that was a secret. For that also, she did not bother if I was talking sense or not, just appreciated it.I even told her that I was going to be next to Dalai Lama and she did not checked anything further. She knew I was lying but had nothing to do with that. Before finishing the call, I asked time for researching about the company but she said No, the time is closed and I had just that moment to pay $800 to be listed the Continental Who’s Who candidate. She also informed that the name will be featured in Forbes and CNN. She said that there is no reference to their exclusivity on these websites currently and they would be releasing the press release to announce my name. When I asked why hasn’t she done that before and marketed the offer on these channels. She replied saying that her company like to keep things private and does not indulge in marketing their services.I asked, how did she get my number then. She fumbled and said that it was through an online form that I filled. She contradicted her stand for not marketing her campaign. She changed the answer and said that I was referred by someone. We both knew that she was lying and she knew that I was aware of that too. But, she insisted many times and tried to bring me down to feel that I was the lucky one to be selected for such an honourable title. But, I was not a fool. I am here writing this complaint to warn people who have never come across such tele-frauds and make the right decision for themselves. Have you heard of someone paying for being honoured for something? Nothing makes sense. If you ever get a call from this woman or any other person claiming that they can feature your name on Forbes or CNN, you know what to ask for. You will get the similar replies.I had to disconnect at the end and she never called back after that.
