The weirdest appointment of my life. On my end, prior to the appointment, I had the X-rays sent, filled out his gobs of paperwork and sent someone my insurance information. I then chased them around asking if they’d gotten everything and they asked me to resend EVERYTHING and then finally made my appointment early as hell 9:30am on Saturday. I came in only to be bombarded in the chair with Dr George Ambus’s questions (like which teeth had the cavities? I can’t see an internal cavity! how many did you say there were? Four, for the millionth time they told me four!).Dr George Ambus showed me paper print outs of my almost brand new X-rays and said they aren’t clear. Maybe use a computer to look at them since they were sent as high quality images?! Dr. George Ambus continued to ask me questions about my X-rays, I’m not a dentist, why would I know any of these answers? Coming in for a cavity filling should be routine. Dr Ambus said that this was a “consultation”, (imo weird and uncomfortable non productive consultation) and that his office would connect with my old office (like they should have already done prior to my FIRST VISIT) late next week and then call me. Okay, tolerable,clearly you’re gonna wait another week cuz I’m not a priority but fine. Shit hit the fan when as I was out the door with no work done at all, he said “Hey but if we don’t call you, you call us okay?” Um no. Don’t worry you won’t see me again, quack. Still can’t shake the awkwardness of that appointment, what a horrible experience. He called me and blamed his support staff after I left a message saying that I will not be back in so don’t bother doing whatever it was you claimed you do before my second trip over.Pro tip: How about don’t schedule new patients you are not at all ready for cuz you’re just gonna freak them out?! None of it makes any sense. This was all so unprofessional. Left with nothing done and no plans to ever return. What a colossal waste of my time. Anyone know a good dentist?!Maybe I had too high of hopes, I did my research and was willing to deal with a lot to get the appointment. I’m literally envious of the other user’s experiences here since they all seem to be the complete and utter opposite of mine.
