My brother went in for a work up and mentioned I had epilepsy. He *mentioned* some of my symptoms and diagnosis (Harborview Medical Center, Seattle WA, Johns Hopkins) In his report Dr. Mehdi Abbas diagnosed me as having a seizure type that I dont have.Not sure why I was being diagnosed in my brothers visit.I understand epilepsy is hereditary and history is important.But Im offended that after SEVERAL, MULTIPLE exams, high quality tests by HIGH QUALITY institutions and highly respected, well known neurologists, someone diagnosis me with a seizure type I DO NOT HAVE.Especially one who has never seen me. As a patient of neurology for over 23 years and someone living with seizures I recommend you look carefully into any neurologist you see.One who listens very carefully and doesnt rush to judgment.
