Original Complaint against Dr. Philip Wolfson published at DirtyScam.com says, verbatim –

Very negative experience here On his page Dr. Philip Wolfson offers many things:-Psychiatry and “psychotherapy” for individuals, couples and “families”-Transformative dynamic psychotherapy-Psychopharmacology (not just psychiaty, but the combo of psychology and psychiatry)-Brief and problem solving therapies-Alternative states and spiritual emergencies-Mindfulness Meditation-Non-violent communication-Illness and grief support for individuals and families-Complex medical and psychiatric problems and diagnoses; access to quality care-Substance issues, dependency and addictionI came to him in hopes for his knowledge in all of these subjects and with a lot of trust because of feeling to understand his beliefs more when I read his article on the mourning of his child with his family. It was because of that article that I came across him actually. In the end he failed to show me any connection and compassion and destroyed my family relation. Before meeting with him my life was gently stable and I was hoping to see him and get on track to getting into better health so I could do better at work and be able to succeed in school to work towards my education. Now I am struggling to repair a relationship I know will never be repaired, struggling to stay in housing and off the street, struggling to eat due to lack of funds or access to a kitchen, and finally struggling with depression due to a now unbalanced diet and overwhelming anxiety from the lack of physical and emotional support in my life….After seeing him I realize he was just in it for, in his words, “the scratch.”I feel after seeing him he is just a doctor trying to diagnose and medicate.I feel he did not want to do the work to find the problem (he even said in my family session that “talking to me would not help”), but just wanted to find the medication that would make me happy. He did not seem to try to get any history with me, but just try to figure out what he felt my problems where. In the end I feel he destroyed my parents trust in me completely, which has led to a lot of other life complications that contribute a lot to my current depression.I also apparently received a dual diagnosis, which I never heard as apparently he told my parents. It has been completely unspecified to this day as my parents say they don’t know what it is only know I have one from him.To this day I have not been able to get into contact with him to learn what it is.Although now after dealing with a situation I finally have a real psychiatrist and psychotherapist who is ready to talk with me, understand my history by listening, and figure out what the problem is rather than just insult me and complain when I would rather talk than take his medication.
