I went to Dr. Weiping Sarah Mei with a swollen foot that I could barely walk on.She prescribed me naproxen and ordered an x-ray, but refused to refer me to a podiatrist.I assume this was so that I would have to come back and pay for another office visit.I was persistent and finally she gave in and angrily gave me the referral.Turns out it wasnt a bone issue, even though after I had the x-ray done Dr Mei left me a voice mail saying that she found something in in.When I finally got ahold of her she told me that she had found that I had high arches.As if that would cause my foot to swell to twice its size? A teenager who works at footlocker could have told me that.Anyway, turns out I had bursitis which took several months of working with a great podiatrist to heal, and if I hadnt insisted it would have delayed the relief and healing process that much more.Prior to this, I had a few other frustrating experiences with her such as her refusing to remove a cyst because it would leave a scar, and calling for a week straight to have a prescription refilled with no response until I left a message saying I was going to find a new doctor.
