Original Complaint against Interlinc Mortgage published at DirtyScam.com says, verbatim –
Chris Bonin at Interlinc Mortgage is a horrible loan officer and very unprofessional! I was selling my house and my buyer was using Chris for his VA LOAN.Chris did not order the appraisal in a timley manner and did not follow up when it was not completed in time for closing .My realtor spent 3 days calling him , emailing and texting and got no response. The appraisial finally came in 1 day prior to closing , it came in $1000.00 under the sales price of my house which was $165,000 , (the listing price was $163,000) .My buyer used this to back out of the purchase on the day of closing , even through I offered to lower the purchase price.I was left with a logistic nightmare ,since I was packed and ready to move into my new house.I was lucky enough to find another buyer the same day , but closing is delayed for an additonal 3 weeks.I now have to pay a penalty of $150.00 per day to the builder of my new home which will come to over $3000.00 and also pay a penalty to extend my locked in interest rate.I did not want to sign the release of ernest money, since I did not feel like the buyer or the mortgage company should get off scott free while i incured all the penalties of this unprofesional handling of the sale of my home. The buyers realtor said he would put a lien on my house, so I went ahead and signed the release .I feel like I am owed compensation from the buyer or the mortgage company.I have since found out that the appraisal has to be given to the buyer at least 3 days prior to the closing date.
