Typical romance scam began on a dating site (Italian Cupid) and immediately moved to whattsapp on the scammers request.Quickly announced feelings of love for me and was relentless in messaging.After a few weeks, the scammer had some issue in Morocco with customs charges and needed financial help. I was reluctant to help but they pleaded with me and assured me it was purely a temporary loan.After several more weeks and alot of loving messages, they asked for more money to which I refused.This made the scammer angry and resulted in a threat to post intimate images of me online and on social media if I didnt pay.I reported it to the police and deactivated all my social media accounts, changed my phone number, my email address and paypal account details, as this was the method I used to pay the £1600 to them.(PayPal recipient- [email protected])
