Original Complaint against Levi Shepard of NALA (National Association of Lash Artists) published at DirtyScam.com says, verbatim –
Speaking on behalf of myself and other lash educators, the hefty fee you pay Levi Shepard to feature you on her association is complete bogus. Her awards show is where she gives awards to everyone who paid the monthly fee.Its a total false association and the awards mean nothing. If you saw they awards she gives and actually look at each persons work you would shake your head and ask how they ever even got certified, never mind won an industry award. Levi collects money from you to feature you on her website but virtually none of the people on there are skilled. Its all just pay to play. You pay you get featured and you get an award. Turns out being on here means absolutely nothing. A customer emailed me and said to me that she has had nothing but bad luck with NALA certified lash artists and told me they were the lowest quality she has ever seen. Yeah, No S***, because the real quality ones dont need to get defrauded to be given a false association credential that means jack squat. She told me she will now AVOID anyone featured on there as a red flag that they are buying publicity. I literally had to convince her that I was not like the rest of them on there, but she said No, if youre on NALA, Ive learned that something is rotten about the people featured there. When I asked Levi to remove me and refund me, she didnt respond. Now Im associated with some of the worst lash artists and I cant get myself off the damn website.
