I had been with my high school sweetheart for a few years when things started to get rocky. He had joined the military, and I stuck with him through everything, being his constant reassurance. The summer of 2010 rolls around and we move in together, fresh newlyweds. || Months later, we started having some issues, he was just acting different and I couldn’t figure out why. Turns out, he had a hobby of flirting with random girls on the Internet. Of course I freaked out, and told him if he didn’t want me then I would move back home, but he pleaded with me to stay, and I did. Fast forward to the fall/winter, I was still resentful of what had happened, but I hadn’t given up on us. I loved him, and I wanted it to work. He was still acting different, but there were no more”computer girls.” He had always talked to an old friend back home, named Casey. I never thought anything of it, because he said they were friends from years back, regardless that I had never met her or heard of her while we were in high school. Come to find out, in the last 8 harrowing months leading to our marriages demise, she had been his go-to ‘friend’ to comfort him. She had been sweet talking him for months, talking about how she always had wanted to be with him and that he should just walk away from me. || Our paperwork was filed in August of 2011 and was finalized in February of 2012, and of course we had continued to argue and go back and forth about pulling the papers the entire time. Come to find out, they had started dating during our separation, and while we continued to hook up on and off, he was fucking her at the same time! Karma will roll around, and I hope this is the start of it. I hope other married women can take points from my story and learn to trust your gut about his”friends” that are young women!
