I initially applied for a receptionist position at Giving Company on Indeed.com.I received an email on Oct 1 at 2:33 pm from : HR Admin stating:DearSequel to your application for the vacant position in our firm, We regret to inform you that the position is no longer available. However, there is a Personal Assistant remote job position available for immediate resumption with one of our partners, Mr Robert Anderson.He is a consultant with a focus in writing and international business. He currently needs a Personal Assistant to help him with daily administrative errands whenever he’s out of the country. Errands which include bill payments, purchase of items to prepare for forthcoming engineering seminars and letters delivery. List and pictures of items to be bought will be sent to you and they can be bought at any departmental store around you. They are mostly stationery items needed for his upcoming seminar.You will be paid $

I look forward to receiving further instructions/information regarding my first assignment in the mail.I signed downloaded and signed the contract and sent it back to him (attached)On Oct 7, 2019 at 11:54 am Robert Anderson responded:Trust you’re doing great.Apologies for the delayed response. Payment for the first assignment would be delivered to your residence via USPS with the tracking number 9405503699300129082573Once received, go ahead and deposit the check, wait a few hours or next day for the funds to be available. You will deduct your weekly payment of $400. I will provide you with more information about what you need to do once the funds are available.How good are you with Microsoft Word?Please do not hesitate to email me if you have any questions, text me on cell # 336-347-8151 to be sure you have the correct number.Thank you.On Oct 8, 2019, I submitted an inquiry on the Giving Company’s website to address my suspicion and confirm if their company was indeed hiring. This is what I received:Thank you for reaching out to us here at Giving Company.We have received several inquiries like yours lately. Regrettably, we are not looking to hire anyone at this time and have posted no open positions with Indeed; so, I am not sure that you have reached the correct company/organization. I am reaching back out so that you can follow-up with Indeed or the correct company.We wish you the best in your endeavors.Sincerely,GeorgeCustomer Care TeamGiving CompanyAfter I reached out the the Giving Company to find that they were not hiring and had no knowledge of Robert Anderson, I did not respond any longer to the alleged "Robert Anderson". However, on Oct 10, 2019 at 3:15 pm, Robert Anderson informed me via text that the check was in the mail and asked me to "kindly" deposit the check and let him know when the funds would be available. As he had stated, a cashiers check in the amount of $3,780 had arrived via USPS. The sender on the envelope was Lucas Morea 1350 E. Flamingo Rd Ste 818, Las Vegas, NV 89119-5263. The cashiers check was from BancFirst from Lori Angstman but was signed by two different signatures. I ignored Robert Anderson’s request only for him to reach back out to me via text on Oct 11 , 2019 at 11:35 am to ask me when was I going to cash it and when were the funds going to be available. I responded to him that I knew that he was a phisher and Giving Company had no knowledge of him. I advised him that I had turned the check over to the authorities and to no longer contact me
