Mark Gillum Saint Augustine Florida Review

I rented a house to Mark and Deborah Gilim ion Feb or 2011. They paid the first and second month’s rent and after that they sporadically paid at their will,,,IN April they claimed that Deborah has breast cancer so I let them pay late and from then on they paid when they wanted and how much and if they wanted, I took then to court in August and at their lawyer’s request and against my better judgment I agreed to a consent judgment with them paying an additional $200 per month to make up what was owed. Their first payment check bounced at which point I should have evicted but I didn’t. For the next 6 months they continued paying what they wanted and when they wanted and if. I filed again in court for an eviction and they got a church to pay me almost the amount that was owed. We went to ccourt in Feb and I won the judegment. The sheriff called the day before eviction stating there was an appeal on the case and they couldn’t evict. We went back to court in March

We went back to court in March and they requested an extension for a week for get an attorney. We went back to court the following week and they did not show. The judge found in my favor. They immediately filed for her to vacate her judgment since they were in the wrong courtroom…funny how the rest of us managed to get to the right room. I hired an attorney to cancel all the crap they were throwing and the judge instead of granting it to me ordered yet another hearing. We went to court once again and they said they would pay and we all signed a consent judgment. From that day in court they never paid another month’s rent and I took them back to court yet again and they claimed the wife had a recurrance of her breast cancer and they needed two more weeks to come up with the $4700 they owed me…they were woriking with agencies to get the noney. LIke an idiot I gave then the two weeks and never received a plug nickel….they gave since moved out, trashed the house, changed their phone numbers and have created a situation for me where I will lose my house to foreclosure…which they knew was a possibility when the I said it in courty and the judge warned them to not let me lose my house. They have played both me and the court like a fiddle…suire this was not the first time they have done this and I am sure they are setting up someone else right now to do it again. I can’t report them to credit bureaus becasuse I am not a member so I am filing a report here in hopes that their next potential viction might do a search and them and see what I have been put through.
