Complaint: I was a victim of roomster.com. On June 28, 2011 I signed up for a 3 day trial period and when I received my bill I noticed that they had also charged me for a months membership. I tried to call roomster corp but was unableto talk to a live person. I had no choice but to email the customer service dept. to request my refund and I was also told that after the trail period I had to cancel my membership or it would be automatically renewed so I went back and cancelled my subscription just in case they tried to charge me for another months subscription. After I cancelled my membership I received an email from the customer service manager, Ashley Larson thanking me for cancelling my membership and in here mail she stated You will have full access to your Roomste rmail box for the duration of your paid period, but it will not be renewed. When your paid period is up, you will be prompt to upgrade again to purchase a new subscription. I immediately emailed Ashley Larson telling her that roomster had charged me for a months membership which I never authorized and that I only signed up for a 3 day trial period and requested a full refund. To my surprise, they did not post my last email that I sent to Ashley Larson but all other emails were posted. Total Rip Off! Im sorry that I didnt check with the BBB or the Ripoff Scams before getting scammed!
