Prairie St John’s is a joke! My daughter was transferred here from the hospital after swallowing 2 bottles of prescription pills.The psychiatrist, Dr.Hess met with her twice and sent her home because she said she didn’t have thoughts of hurting herself.We argued with him because it had only been a couple days and they hadn’t worked with her at all to figure out why she took the pills.He refused to listen to us and said he was releasing her anyways and if we wanted her to stay we’d have to pay out of pocket because he wouldn’t bill our insurance anymore.Needless to say, they didn’t help her at all and it was basically a couple day babysitting service.She even self harmed while she was there, so that shows how well they do their jobs.Look elsewhere if your child needs serious help, they don’t care here.
