Initially I thought Smiles On Madison was a great find. Near my home, accepted my insurance and nice people at the counter. As a single dad with three teens with mild orthodontia needs (they do Invisalign), I figured this was a home run…14 year old daughter after a cleaning is encouraged to start the Invisalign, we get a quote–$3,000 for 6 month treatment (she has beautiful teeth, but she is my daughter and I said ok). We go through the impressions, then a second appointment weeks later to look at the computer generated images of now and what will be.This second appointment was not informative and a total was on of mine and my daughter’s time. Then, just before the first set of Invisaligns arrive I get an email from the office manager billing me for $5,150. I question the amount and she says that there is a range of $3000 to $6000 and they don’t know the final number until ClinCheck tells them. Baloney, you do this for a living, you don’t miss it by that much.This is poor form and bad dealing, you don’t quote a number without explaining that there is a range. You don’t string us along and get a 14 year-old girl emotionally invested and then inflate the pricing–especially, with no explanation for the drastic change.Get it in writing, the Parent Company for the Invisalign brand has already been in a class action suit for pressuring dentists for quotas. I’d be very cautious about this service. The callous response of the office manager when I asked her to honor the original estimate told me a lot about the business philosophy of this branch.
