Wow. Bad experience! Ive worked in healthcare for over 17 years, this is thee worst experience Ive had by far.I recently moved and was looking to establish care. I finally found a NP in my network that was accepting new patients.Was booked out about 3 weeks which is ok, I understood. I drove into the city from Pacifica and paid an awful lot for parking.I was greeted by a friendly staff member then taken to the exam room.Thats when things got weird. Tara didnt shake my hand, introduce herself or ask any health questions whatsoever other than my family history.She basically stood in the corner typed my pre-written information into the computer without even looking at me or talking to me. (gotta get it in the CPU to charge me) I had to bring up the fact that I was concerned about my cholesterol!Her advice? Cut back on butter and cheese.Smh. Then she goes onto say that a couple medications Ive been on for over 5 years were “out of her comfort zone.And no, not opioids or narcotics..a sleeping aide and anxiety pill, really? (Still typing in the corner) She didnt even ask why I was taking them!She never listened to my heart, lungs nothing.Every routine visit Ive been to theyve at least done that! I was handed a 5 page referral sheet and then recommended I book a physical!You cant introduce yourself to me but you want me back for a physical? Again, $$$.Im thinking at one point she WAS caring but no longer judging by the review dates.Anyway, that was the extent of our visit. She says “well waive your co-pay for today.I dont even have a co-pay! Bottom line , a Nurse should care and Tara sure didnt show it.She never asked how I was feeling or anything.So taken back, I forgot to ask about the rash on my chest. Shed probably refer out for that too.I am just so disappointed and feel that she lacks empathy which is so sad as she is a NURSE PRACTITIONER.Maybe shes great at Pap smears but Ill never know, her complete disregard for my feelings left me in tears, thanks parking guy for asking if I was okay .you cared more than Tara.At least her office staff is friendly.
