Original Complaint against Tax-Matters Org published at DirtyScam.com says, verbatim –

I just had a terrible experience Tax-Matters Org. Last week I called in to get information and schedule an appointment to have my taxes done. The woman who answered the phone didn’t let me get 2 words in before she cut me off, rushed through the conversation, wouldn’t answer any of questions about pricing, stated that this year they were raising their prices and gave me a quick quote that was triple what I have ever paid. After all that she told me she really needed to go so if I wanted to book the appointment-I needed to let her know right then because she didn’t have time to talk to me..Okay..???I was surprised as my coworker has been going to this place for a while and pays the same amount each year.Yet here I am not even able to get information to see if the company is the best fit for me.I still decide to book the appointment ( I really need to get my taxes done!) thinking that maybe they were just REALLY BUSY… I also thought the pricing couldn’t be correct and maybe I would get more information once I was in front of the accountant.I come in with all of my documents prepared this morning and lo and behold… my appointment was never booked by the woman at the desk.I was asked multiple times ” Are you sure you even have an appointment??”.. um yes? I am here early on a Saturday to have this service done.. why would I be making that up?Someone sits me down and states that she has an appointment in the next hour so I can leave my info, come back and she will give me information and pricing.I show her my very simple info and when I ask questions- I am laughed at as if it is comedy hour. Then I am given a price that is double then what my friend pays (although less than what I was quoted on the phone the week before). Now I totally understand that everyones taxes and background are different, paper work is different, and blah blah- totally get that. The thing is my coworker and I have very similar situations and I am pretty sure I was given a higher price so I could say no and leave.. Which is what I did because I would rather pay that amount somewhere else that has it together and treats their potential clients/customers with more respect.I won’t be returning, I won’t recommend this place to anyone.. Sad, frustrating and a waste of time.
